Lady A’s Hillary Scott takes the plunge

Congratulations to Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott who wed her long-time boyfriend, Chris Tyrrell, over the weekend in upstate New York. The happy couple made a personal announcement on the Lady A official website because they wanted to be the first to tell the fans.

Miss Hillary Scott Tyrrell wore a custom-made Vera Wang wedding gown for an intimate ceremony of family and close friends. Tyrrell donned a gray Ermenegildo Zegna suit. In their video message to fans, however, they were totally informal in cute matching t-shirts.

Lady Antebellum is currently on a short break from touring, but will return to the road with special guest Darius Rucker on January 27 in Tulsa, Okla., to continue their mega  “Own the Night” tour, which fans can catch live through the end of June.

Lady Antebellum announces tour in support of upcoming album

With a new album just three weeks away, Lady Antebellum has just announced a U.S. tour running from November through December.

The 21-city tour kicks off at the Knoxville Coliseum in Tennessee on Nov. 11 and runs thorugh Dec. 18 in Morgantown, W. Va.

Additional tour dates include Nov. 12 at the Macon Centreplex in Georgia; Nov. 13 at the East Kentucky Expo Center in Pikeville; Nov. 16 at the El Paso County Coliseum in Texas; Nov. 17 at the Grand Canyon University in Phoenix; (Read More…)

Another set of Grammy noms for Lady Antebellum

Lady Antebellum is finishing off their phenomenally successful year on a high note. This week’s 2011 Grammy nominations were announced and Lady A upped their ante from last year by earning six nods!

Their smash hit “Need You Now” is responsible for getting all their nominations. Here are the categories: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Country Song of the Year, Country Album of the Year, and Country Performance by a Duo or Group. 

Congratulations to the band for getting recognition in three of the top general field categories - that’s an amazing achievement for country music! But the competition is tough, with Lady A going head-to-head against some of the biggest names in music: Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, Eminem, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry, just to name a few. So tune in to see who will claim the final prizes.

Lady Antebellum to perform at 2010 CMA Awards

Though the 2010 CMA Awards winners have yet to be announced, Lady Antebellum has already been guaranteed to be on stage…as a performer.

Lady Antebellum racked up five nominations this year including entertainer of the year, vocal group of the year, single of the year, song of the year and music video of the year.

Now, they’ve also been named as one of the shows performers, along with Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson and the Zac Brown Band.

One More Award For The Shelf

Lady Antebellum adds another award to shelf, winning Group Video of the Year at last night’s Country Music Television awards ceremony for their smash hit, “Need You Now.”

The trio accepted the title, beating Rascal Flatts, Gloriana and Zac Brown Band.

Lady Antebellum win 5 of 7 ACM Awards

At last night’s Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, Lady Antebellum took home 5 Awards including Single Record of the Year (artist & producer), Song of the Year for ”Need You Know” (artist and composers) and Top Vocal Group.  Lady Antebellum was the night’s top winners.

The show was a great celebration for the biggest names and emerging artists in country music today.  Carrie Underwood was the guest of honor, winning the night’s biggest award, Entertainer of the Year, and for the second time in a row.  She is the first female to have won Entertainer of the Year twice and the 7th female to be honored with the title in the 40-year history of the category.  Others include Loretta Lynn 1975, Dolly Parton 1977, Barbara Mandrell 1980, Reba McEntire 1994, Shania Twain 1999, and the Dixie Chicks 2000.
